1. Definitions

· “Centre” means Alt Valley Active

· “Member” means any individual holding a valid membership.

· “Membership” means an agreement allowing access to Centre facilities under these terms.

· “Facilities” means sports halls, gyms, studios, and other areas operated by the Centre.

2. Membership Eligibility

2.1 Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and over.

2.2 Members under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

2.3 The Centre reserves the right to refuse membership at its discretion.

3. Types of Membership

3.1 The Centre offers different membership types, which may include:

• Adult
• Junior
• Pay-as-you-go

3.2 Membership benefits, access times, and prices vary by type and are displayed at the Centre or on its website.

4. Membership Fees and Payments

4.1 Fees must be paid in advance by direct debit, card, or other accepted payment methods.

4.2 Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

4.3 The Centre may review and change fees and will update members accordingly.

5. Cancellation and Freezing Membership

5.1 Members may cancel their membership by giving 30 days’ notice during which time a fits

5.2 Memberships may be frozen in exceptional circumstances (such as medical reasons), subject to approval.

5.3 Failure to pay fees may result in suspension or termination of membership.

6. Use of Facilities

6.1 Members must follow all Centre rules, signage, and staff instructions.

6.2 The Centre may restrict access to facilities due to maintenance, events, or health and safety reasons.

6.3 Membership is personal and may not be shared.

7. Health, Safety, and Conduct

7.1 Members use facilities at their own risk.

7.2 Members should ensure they are medically fit to participate in physical activity.

7.3 The Centre is not responsible for injuries.

7.4 Abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

8. Personal Property

8.1 The Centre is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

8.2 Lockers are provided for temporary use only.

9. Data Protection

9.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR

9.2 Member information will only be used for membership administration and Centre communications.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

10.1 The Centre may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

10.2 Members will be notified of significant changes in advance.

11. Termination by the Centre

11.1 The Centre may suspend or terminate membership if:

• Fees are unpaid
• Rules are repeatedly breached
• Behaviour poses a risk to others

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
